MICHAEL S. REYNOLDS

The 2023-2024 school year will be Mr. Reynolds' 32nd year as an educator and his 24th year at Madison High School.

Mr. Reynolds has directed all four concert bands, jazz band, is responsible for all percussion activities on the campus, and assisted with all Band and Color Guard activities since August 2000.

Mr. Reynolds is a 1992 graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Indiana University-Bloomington.  He is also a 1996 graduate with a Master's Degree in Music-Wind Conducting from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  His teaching career has included stops in Austin, TX, Columbia, MO, Corpus Christi, TX and San Antonio, TX.  Mr. Reynolds was also a member of Star of Indiana Drum & Bugle Corps during the 1988 & 1989 seasons.

 

Michael's main instrument is Percussion but has many years of experience teaching all instruments.

During his time at Madison High School, the Band program has been a consistent UIL Sweepstakes Program. 

Mr. Reynolds is looking forward to a productive 2023-2024.

Mr. Reynolds is a member of Texas Music Educators Association, The Texas Bandmasters Association and the

Percussive Arts Society.  He has arranged music for the Madison Band, written many percussion arrangements

and cadences for the drumline and written the percussion music for other high school bands.  He continues to

learn more about electronic music as it has become an integral part of the marching arts in the last decade.
